SUE LEWIS

Sue chairs the Financial Services Consumer Panel, an independent statutory body that advises the UK Financial Conduct Authority on consumer issues in financial services policy and regulation. She is a Trustee of the People’s Pension, and of UK national debt charity StepChange. Sue also sits on the Professional Standards Board of both the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Banker.
Sue has international expertise in financial education, financial inclusion and consumer protection regulation, working with the European Commission, OECD, Alliance for Financial Inclusion and Asian Bank Development Institute. She recently advised Erste Bank on the development of a Financial Life Park in Vienna.
Sue was formerly a senior civil servant, advising government ministers on a policy issues including financial consumer protection, financial capability, early years, children and young people, and gender equality.
Sue has a B.Sc degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Statistical Methods.
